ECPMUN 2025

Out 22, 2025 | CNM, Reconhecimento, Secundário

In the heart of Europe this October, a delegation of students from CNM represented our school at the English College in Prague Model United Nations (ECPMUN) 2025 conference. Under the overarching theme of “Generational responsibility,” our delegates engaged in three days of fruitful debate from October 19th to 21st, tackling some of the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges.

The conference included various UN bodies, including the Human Rights Council, where delegates argued about the complex issue of police brutality, and the General Assembly Third Committee, which focused on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Representing different nations, our students drafted resolutions, built consensus, and negotiated alliances, all while following the formal UN procedures.

This experience was more than an academic exercise; it served as an experience for professional and, more importantly, personal growth. For many of our delegates, ECPMUN was a significant milestone. They were among 160 participants from around the globe, providing an opportunity to connect with peers from different cultures and backgrounds. Beyond the committee rooms, this event was a chance to build a network of international friendships and exchange perspectives on a global scale.

To conclude, our school’s participation in ECPMUN was a chance to pass on the importance of providing young people with spaces to engage meaningfully with global affairs. By stepping into the role of diplomats, our students gained a deeper understanding of the complexities of global decision-making. Experiences like this are fundamental in forming a new generation of leaders and consequently “changing the world, one debate at a time”.
