MUN•MALTA 2026

Out 14, 2026 | Projetos, Secundário

Between 7th and 9th October, 15 students from Colégio Novo da Maia and Colégio Novo de Gaia took part in MUN•MALTA 2026, an event hosted by Università ta’ Malta-La Valletta Campus.

Throughout the conference, delegates took part in discussions about current global challenges, including preventing disruptions in the global supply chain through secure maritime trade in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and long-term security assistance for Ukraine in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). They considered a range of viewpoints while confidently presenting the perspectives of the countries they represented. The experience also helped them strengthen research, critical thinking, respectful and communication.

The Young Observatory For MUN Europe recognised the performance of our students with Distinguished Delegate award given to Eduardo Ribeiro (North Atlantic Treaty Organization),
Honourable Mention award given to Rafael Ito (Economic and Social Council) and three Best Position Paper awarded to Lucas Ouro (Economic and Social Council), Mafalda Ribeiro (Economic and Social Council) and Francisco Correia (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

The NOVOMUN team is incredibly proud of its students’ performance during MUN-Malta 2026, demonstrating teamwork, diplomacy andexcellence across all committees.
